Joggers contain an air of  purposelessness, a hunched isolated doggedness trapped inside the picture plane. They are also a most useful directional compositional element.

The first joggers were from a photograph of footballers, and an Adelaide Fun Run, but then I got my husband to jog up and down the paddock for me. He did it just right.
