This was a commission and the brief was to paint a large truck. This is a large truck, plus another, largish, one, 2 tiny ones, a toy truck (in the cabin) and a truck sign. I love those truck signs.

Having got a fair way along with the painting I offered to put the patron in the painting as well, just like in the old days when the person paying for a painting got painted in, worshipping.

The photograph below is the original truck, on which the painting was based. It's just like a Tonka truck!
