Having moved to the historic town of Burra, SA, I had access to a number of very early photographs, amongst which I found this man.
I had photographed the wrecked car many years before, alongside a track through some woods.
The framer said, "That must have a story behind it." It hasn't. There is no story. Attempting to both see the painting and also invent a story that 'must' be there imposes the barrier of your thought between yourself and the painting, making it impossible to 'see' the painting at all.
