It was time to do something simple, straightforward and colourful and the local discount store had these wonderful, huge flowers, so I bought a lot of them and did this piece. Still life is so peaceful. After the initial subject is set up, there are no further decisions to make.

It got sold to a gentleman who makes prints, who also commissioned me to do another one, and the prints are still out there somewhere. I come across them occasionally  on the internet. Unfortunately, the gentleman forgot to put my name on the print, though he did remember his company's. I sent two of them over to my Mum in the UK and she said, but where's your name, I thought real artists always had their name on their work. Spit, spit, spit.
