Rosco was our son Brian's dog and when Brian left home I did this little painting for
his unit.
Doing a painting specifically for somebody else's pleasure is one of the most
rewarding aspects of being an 'artist', and I had the greatest fun doing
this one. Dogs are wonderful things to paint. They express themselves,
totally unselfconsciously, in every twist of their body.
Unfortunately, a short while later, a neighbour thought Rosco was a fox and
deliberately ran him over.
