On my way to Mannum for the mail I passed a paddockful of shorn sheep. I had to
photograph them from the car, having learnt from past experience that if
you get out they all turn their backs and stroll away, and the windows
weren't very clean, but this sheep, right up against the fence, captured
exactly that remote dignity which sheep display when they're not
swaddled up with wool.
There was supposed to be a big tangle of wire in front of the image but, having
coloured everything in, it was irrelevant.
