The gate used in Twisted Gate
The pile of cars got almost finished, the Melbourne Lanes continues, and we went up to Port Augusta to look at the industrial parts of Australia. The best trip was out to Iron Knob, almost abandoned and pretty nearly derelict.community centre which advertised tours of the mine was firmly shut.
Drove our new Delica van out to a scrap yard, where we crammed it full of rubbish and paid them $10. This is the same scrap yard that had the pile of crushed cars, and I had given them a booklet a while back so there was much goodwill, also one of their workmen had been at the now defunct AAA Motor Wreckers and had driven the Hydraulic Excavator. So, I now have piles of junk behind the studio, and also a newly stretched canvas.
