Cow

One of the biggest problems artists have is the conflict between
following the muse with what one hopes is integrity and getting an
income.
A gallery had asked me to paint a cow, you know - a black and white jersey cow! This is no more nor less than a cow. Cows were very trendy at the time. People collected paintings of cows, and beer coasters and place mats and toilet roll holders. I took endless photos of cows before I found a cow that looks exactly cow-like.
I loved it.
